The art design chosen for our cover comes from an old wood block print.

The decaying, old stump bespeaks of the carnal life of self that is being reduced to nothing, as well as the frailty of all our natural life.

The emerging of the lily bespeaks of the new Christ-life coming forth within. "- he shall grow as the lily." (Hosea 14:5)

Certainly the real basis for our overcoming walk, is to first be overcome by our Lord, surrendering all to His will, and then in union with Him going forth to gain the victory day by day over every corrupting influence of this world.  The beauty of the lily stands out in bold relief against the decaying of that which once stood as a mighty tree, but is no longer.  May HE ever be seen in us -- indeed, "He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30).
