The Interplay of Good and Evil
By Ray Prinzing

The hammer against the anvil,
With the vessel in between,
'Mid the heat and all the pressure
God's true working can be seen.

Though the processes are many
And the purpose hid from view,
Out of ashes comes rare beauty
When "testing times" are through.

Good and evil work together
With a pattern to fulfill,
And their interaction ordered
In accordance to God's will.

When we thought it all was evil,
And we fain would rue the day,
Yet the end was of God's choosing,
And His mercy still held sway.

So methinks we need His eyesight
To behold the inner score,
That where evil is abounding,
There His grace aboundeth more.

And He useth for His glory,
Both the realms of night and day,
Synchronized to bring forth vict'ry
HE controls their interplay.
