the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow... and be

In the Third Day
by Ray Prinzing
"Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn, and He
will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After
two days will He revive us: in the third day He will raise us up,
and we shall live in His sight. Then shall we know, if we
follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the
morning..." Hosea 6:1-3
As a
point of beginning we might refresh our mind with the word, as Peter
gave it, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one
day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a
day." (2 Peter 3:8). Our God is the Author of time, He is not
bound by time, but He has given it to the sons of men as a part of
our present travail. But, using this comparison of a thousand
years as a day, and realizing that two thousand years have almost
slipped by since Jesus Christ walked the shores of Galilee, we know
have used up two days, and are facing the dawn of the THIRD DAY,
when the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.
There are some tremendous things which happen in the third day, and
comparable at least, we want them to happen in our lives in THIS DAY
wherein we live.
