WHISPERS OF WORSHIP
By Ray Prinzing

"For He is thy Lord; and worship thou Him."                                                                                                  (Psalm 45:11).

"Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool; for He is holy."                                                        (Psalm 99:5).

"The Lord will be venerated by them, -- for all the gods of the earth will waste away and they will worship Him, every one from his home, in all the isles of the heathen."                                                                           (Zephaniah 2:11, F. Fenton).

Preface

"O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!"

The worlds of this hymn stir deep within, finding a ready response in the hearts of many, for it bespeaks of worship and praise to Him who is our life.  We fumble for words to express our adoration and praise, and whenever we hear a song that helps us magnify the Lord, we join in with a joyful heart.  The desire to worship is inherent in the bosom of every man.  We were created to worship God, and if we turn "every one to his own way,"  (Isaiah 53:6), still we will worship something-- be it wealth, fame, power, another man, or ever self.  Yet none of these other gods ever satisfy the desire that are deep within our being.  Only as we worship the Lord our God, do we find that while we focus on Him, He also has centered His attention upon us, to enrich our life with His presence, and to satisfy the longing of our soul.

This book was written out of an intense desire for a better understanding of worship, and to enter into new avenues of worship unto the Lord, and thought with ever succeeding chapter the vision unfolded by degrees, yet we freely admit that after all that was written, it has been but a  "Whisper" of that which we desire to know and experience in Him.  Nevertheless, by His grace we shall continue to seek after Him, to exalt our God, humble ourselves before Him, and as much as lieth within us, to "worship Him, in spirit and in truth." Amen.

NOT TO BE SOLD - this book is given free, as a ministry of love.  That which is contained therein cannot be valued in terms of material goods.  If there be any thoughts expressed that seem to be the result of only natural thinking, we trust that a little breath of kindness will blow the chaff away, that the kernel of truth might remain.
